A torrential downpour in Uttarakhand over the last few days has caused landslides that have caused several houses to collapse. On the other hand, thousands of people were trapped in the floodwaters of the Kali River. There were more than one landslides in Uttarakhand, especially in Bageshwar district. Due to the continuous rain, the rocks of the mountains started falling.

Landslides occurred on at least eighteen roads in the Kapkot area. In Dharchula area, water of Kali river was flowing above the danger line. The Rishikesh-Kedarnath and Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highways were closed due to landslides. It had been raining continuously in Dehradun since Sunday evening. As a result, river-ditches emerged. Water had seeped into several houses here, including the Tapkeshwar Mahadev temple. A wall of the world famous Doon School also collapsed.

The landslide caused traffic jams as many roads were closed. The Rishikesh-Kedarnath National Highway was closed due to a landslide near Banswada in Rudraprayag district. The Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway was closed due to landslides near Lambagad and Kali temples in Chamoli district. Thus the rain in Uttarakhand was shouting trahimam.

The Saryu River was flooded due to continuous rains. The famous Baba Bagnath's bathing ghat known as Kashi of Kumaon was completely submerged. The Garudganga, Gomti and Nala, which had been almost empty for many months, including the Saryu river, were giving black care in the form of raudras. Two vehicles were crushed when a cliff collapsed in Chamoli district on Monday. One vehicle was carrying Pokhari Gram Panchayat officials and four others. The panchayat officer died on the spot
