The All India Motor Transport Congress has decided to hold a three-day strike in the country and region from August 10 with four main demands. The strike was called with the consent of all office-bearers, including AIMTC Delhi president Kultaran Singh Atwal and Pradesh West zone president Vijay Kalra.

AIMTC state vice-president Ajay Sharma said the decision was taken at the meeting with the consent of all the workers that if our four demands were not met, we would close all transports for three days from August 10 to 12, along with traffic jams.

4-5 lakh trucks, all small commercial vehicles including buses will not be able to run in the region including Bhopal. The Corona-born situation has put the transport industry in crisis.

Riding is also having trouble. Buses, trucks, taxis, tempos, etc. cannot run. Many transporters have been forced to sell their vehicles. The driver's corona is insured. There is a demand for 6 months exemption in road tax and goods tax, reduction in VAT on diesel, abolition of check post of RTO limits.
