108 years ago, this clever woman hoisted the Indian flag in Germany

In the age of slavery, the average Indian woman was forced to live a conservative life, while on the other hand, there were also fearless women who fought for the liberation of the country. Madam Bhikhaiji Kama from Mumbai had traveled to London, America and Germany to create the whole atmosphere for India's independence. In Stuttgart, Germany, he hoisted the Indian flag at the Seventh International Congress on 9 August 1908. Although the tricolor of that time was not as it is now but this was the first time that the Indian flag was flown abroad.


This Parsi woman has the honor of making the first national flag of India in 1908 with the help of Vir Savarkar and Shyamji Krishna Varma. Madam Kama tried to cover the cultural spirit of every religion in the hoisted Indian flag.

The flag, which was unfurled in Germany, can be seen in the Maratha-Kesari Library in Pune today. Madame Cama also published a magazine called Vande Mataram from Paris, which was read by traveling Indians with interest. . He called on the people abroad to free India from the shackles of slavery. Madam Kama was also Dadabhai Navroji's secretary in London.


Madam Kama, who was born in a happy Sampan family, also chanted the slogan 'Aage Badho, Hum Bharat Ke Liye Hai'. He was born in Mumbai on September 8, 191 to a Parsi family. When the plague broke out in Mumbai on the 19th, he did a lot of service to the patients. Madamkama also continued to fight for India's independence even when she had to go to London for treatment for the effects of the plague. Madame Kama was accused by the British of spreading chaos on Madame Kama. Madame Cama had such a good influence in the socialist community of Europe. Which he used to create an atmosphere of freedom for the country.
