Toilet A love story: 16 brides leave father-in-law as there is no toilet in the village

Ever since Modi took over as PM, he has emphasized the need for toilets in villages.

However, PM Modi's dream project is still being implemented in some places. For example, in Jagdipur village in Kushinagar district of UP, 16 brides have left their father-in-law due to lack of toilets.

The incident is reminiscent of Akshay Kumar's film Toilet, a love story. However, after the steps taken by the women, the village has now come under discussion.

The in-laws' efforts to persuade the women have not been successful yet. The women say that the in-laws had promised to build a toilet before the marriage but that promise has not been fulfilled.

After the case came to light in the media, the government has now woken up and started investigating why the toilets were not built. Meanwhile, Sarpanch Ram Naresh Yadav said that some families could not get toilets as their names were not in the list of schemes.
