This year IPL will be held in UAE if not in India, Cricket Board has started preparations

New Delhi, 19 July 2020, Sunday

The Indian Cricket Board wants to host the IPL this year at any cost.

The cricket board has started preparations for this. According to media reports, the cricket board is likely to play in the IPL in the UAE this year due to the growing transition of corona in India.

The board is now awaiting the official announcement of the cancellation of this year's T20 Cricket World Cup by the ICC. The governing body of the IPL on Friday discussed the possible venue and schedule of the tournament.

However, the proposal to seek the government's advice on where the cricket board wants to play in the IPL has been cleared. The cricket board has sought the government's advice to hold the tournament in either Maharashtra or the UAE.

The name of Maharashtra is bothering many. Because Maharashtra has the highest number of corona cases and the situation is deteriorating day by day. Thus planning is unlikely in Maharashtra. It is clear from the board's decision that it wants to host the IPL in the UAE.

However, a proposal seeking advice has not yet been sent to the government by the cricket board. However, the UAE is happy to play in the IPL and preparations are underway.
