Amid rising cases of the corona virus, there is a heated debate among the people as to whether the government will re-impose a lockdown. However, the central government has put a complete stop to this speculation. On Tuesday, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that the lockdown would not be implemented again.

"There is no need for lockdown in the country at present. Work is underway with the states to focus on the containment zone. In addition, if the Corona case escalates, the states have been given the right to enforce the lockdown," he said.

Another government official said that if the case escalates in a particular area of a state, village or city, a few days lockdown could be applied to as many areas as Madhya Pradesh and UPA have decided to close markets every Sunday and every Saturday and Sunday. Maharashtra has launched a lockdown in Pune.

As per the information received, the Central Government is instructing the State Governments to work actively in the areas where cases are on the rise. Otherwise, it may affect others and the cases may increase. So states can implement lockdown in such area.
