The biggest change in Indian Railways will be: By 2024, all trains in the country will run on electricity

Now the Ministry of Railways has made a big announcement which will see the biggest change in Indian Railways so far. Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday said that all trains of Indian Railways will be running on electricity within the next 3.5 years.

At a CII function on Thursday, the Railway Minister said that by the year 2024, all trains in the country will be running on electricity. With this, Ravel will set a new record and become the first such large railway network in the world to run on full electricity. He said that Indian Railways was moving fast in this direction. Currently 55 per cent of the rail network runs on electricity, and over the next 3.5 years 100 per cent of trains will run on electricity.

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved 100 per cent electrification of railways. After receiving approval from the Center, Piyush Goyal said that the Railways has started working in this direction with full vigor. According to which work will be done on 1,20,000 km track. He further said that we hope that by 2030, Indian Railways will become the largest green railway in the world.
