Special allowance will be given for government employees of the center, special allowance for night duty

In addition, the central government has discontinued night duty allowance for each employee on the basis of special grade pay under the existing system. In view of the demand of the Seventh Pay Commission, night allowance was given to the central employees on the basis of grade pay before it was implemented.

In case the working time is calculated on the basis of Knight VAT, no compensation will be given now. The rate of duty performed at night will be calculated on the basis of 10 minutes per hour. The time from 10 pm to 6 am will be counted as night duty depending on the government.

A ceiling is fixed on the basis of basic pay for night duty allowance. Employees say the basic penny ceiling for night duty allowance has been fixed at Rs 43,600 per month. The Central Government will pay the amount of Night Duty Allowance to each employee on the basis of Basic Pay and Night Duty.
