The two-month lockdown caused by the Corona has hit the country's economy hard. The economic condition of the people has become pitiable.

In a shocking case in Assam, a father in Kokrajhar district has sold his daughter for Rs 45,000 to get out of the financial crisis created by the lockdown.

A man named Deepak Brahma was working in Gujarat. He was forced to return home after the lockdown. The little money he had left was used to return to Assam from Gujarat.

After returning home, there was a shortage of food. Following which, the father of three sold his daughter for Rs 45,000. However, when an NGO came to know about this, its activists contacted the police. On the other hand, other people from Deepak's village also came to the rescue.

Police have arrested 3 people who bought Deepak and the girl.
