Rajasthan's border sealed off due to corona amid political heat, increased checking

Jaipur, Ta. 12 July 2020, Sunday

The state's borders have once again been sealed amid ongoing political developments in Rajasthan. The Home Department of the Rajasthan government has issued an order in this regard. The decision to seal the state's borders has been taken in view of the increasing number of corona cases as per the government order. Anyone from Rajasthan who wants to go outside the state is required to get a pass.

On the one hand, Rajasthan's borders have been ordered to be sealed at a time when news of attempts to overthrow the state's Congress government has surfaced. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is conspiring to oust the state Congress government, according to Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

At present, precision is being maintained on the border of Rajasthan. MLAs have been ordered to control the border of Rajasthan to prevent them from leaving the state. Apart from that, police checking at the border of the region has also been increased and special blockades are underway on the highways.

ADG Law and Order Saurabh Srivastava has issued an order to control the border. Earlier, Rajasthan police had ordered border control before keeping Congress MLAs in hotels.

Political developments in Rajasthan

The Special Operations Group (SOG) has arrested two BJP leaders in Rajasthan on charges of plotting to overthrow the Congress government. The arrested BJP leaders are accused of luring Congress MLAs.

At the same time, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a case against three MLAs for buying and selling MLAs. It also includes the names of independent MLA Omprakash Hoodla, Suresh Tank and Congress MLA Sukhbir Singh Jojawar.
