Rahul Gandhi does not attend defense committee meeting

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is already attacking the Modi government over the martyrdom of 20 soldiers in the Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh and the Chinese infiltration. Rahul Gandhi is besieging the Modi government by asking one question after another. Then the BJP has put Rahul Gandhi in a quandary with his own weapon. BJP president JP Nadda said that despite being a member of the Defense Committee, Rahul Gandhi does not attend any meeting of the committee. But at the same time, sadly, they continue to demoralize the nation.

BJP president JP Nadda wrote in his tweet, “Rahul Gandhi is associated with a glorious dynastic tradition where committees have no significance. There are many deserving members in the Congress who understand parliamentary issues but one dynasty will never allow such leaders to move forward.

In another tweet, Nadda wrote that despite being a member of the Defense Committee, Rahul Gandhi does not attend a single meeting which is disappointing. At the same time, more sadly, they are constantly demoralizing the nation, questioning the heroism of our armed forces and doing everything a responsible opposition leader should not do.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was nominated as a member of the Defense Committee in September 2019. The committee also includes 21 Lok Sabha members and 10 Rajya Sabha members, including Rahul Gandhi. Union Minister Juel Oram is the chairman of the defense committee. There have been about a dozen meetings in the last one year but Rahul Gandhi has not attended a single meeting.

Ashok Bajpayee, a member of the Defense Committee and a BJP Rajya Sabha MP, said the Defense Committee consists of senior Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members. Rahul Gandhi is also a member of the committee but he has not attended a single meeting in the last one year. From this one can understand the seriousness about the security of their nation.

Ashok Bajpayee said that the manner in which Rahul Gandhi was making statements in the media to demoralize the army on the China issue was detrimental to the country's image. If he knows so much about defense, it would be more appropriate for him to attend a meeting of the Defense Committee and give his views. The defense committee has all kinds of discussions and if they get involved, they will also get information about the country's defense.
