Now Russia has dealt a major blow to China, banning the supply of these missiles

Moscow, Ta. 27 July 2020, Monday

China is facing another blow. Russia has banned the launch of S-400 surface-to-air missiles. This means that China will no longer receive the missiles needed for its S-400 system from Russia. This is a major setback for China amid tensions with India. However, China is not ready to accept this.

According to a Chinese newspaper report, "Russia has suspended the supply of missiles for the time being. To some extent, it is in China's interest because the delivery of arms is so complex. "China has to send military personnel and technical staff for training, while Russia has to send a large number of its technical personnel to Beijing to bring weapons into service, which is a very difficult task at the moment," it said.

Russia's decision to suspend its supply of missiles came after a statement from China said Russia had taken the decision "forcibly because Russia does not want the Chinese Communist Party to be distracted by the Corona virus." In 2018, China received the first batch of S-400 missiles, a military diplomatic source told Russia's News Agency.

The S-400 air defense missile system is considered the most advanced of its kind in Russia. It is capable of destroying targets up to a distance of 400 km and an altitude of 30 km. Russia's decision comes at a time when it has recently accused China of spying. Russia has accused China of spying despite good relations between the two countries.

According to a report, Russian officials have blamed Valerie Mitko, president of the St. Petersburg Arctic Social Sciences Academy, for handing over some secret documents to China, and there has been some tension between the two countries since then.
