New Zealand Health Minister David Clarke resigns after breaking lockdown

Wellington, Ta. 02 July 2020 Thursday

A major negligence has surfaced in New Zealand following the announcement of Corona's release. However, Corona's case came to light a few days ago at a quarantine center in New Zealand. The security of the quarantine center was compromised. New Zealand Health Minister David Clarke has resigned following the omission.

David Clarke has resigned following criticism of the government's response to Corona and its violation of lockdown rules. He came to the beach with his family during the lockdown. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced the resignation of David Clarke on Thursday.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern had earlier refused to remove David Clark, saying David Clarke had played a key role in stopping Corona in the country. Now, however, PM Jacinda Ardern has said she agrees with David Clark's decision. Jacinda Ardern declared New Zealand coroner-free in early June.

Just two days after the announcement of New Zealand's coronation release, two women returning from Britain tested positive for corona. Both women were soon cleared from the quarantine center based on the recommendation. Both corona later came out positive. There are currently 22 active cases of corona in the country that have come from different countries.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has named Education Minister Chris Hipkins as interim health minister. Chris Hipkins will take charge of the health ministry until the September election. PM Jacinda Ardern says a permanent health minister will be appointed after the election.
