India's 'digital strike' worries China, app ban will cost billions

Beijing, Ta. Thursday 02 July

The Chinese propaganda newspaper Global Times tweeted that TikTok's parent company could lose 6 6 billion after the Indian government banned 59 Chinese apps after a border clash in Ladakh last month.

What a huge economic blow it would be for China to ban 59 apps if it were estimated that such a loss would be imposed on just one app. After border tensions in eastern Ladakh and China's betrayal, India banned 59 Chinese apps as a threat to the country's security.

China's move has been tarnished by India's move and has been threatening India with dire consequences. He went so far as to say that it would have no effect on China's economy. However, he now has to accept that banning India could cost the parent company of the Tiktok app billions of dollars.
