India verbally attacks Pakistan at UN meeting, reprimands it for promoting terrorism

New delhi date. 8 July 2020, Wednesday

In the midst of the Corona crisis, India has spoken out against Pakistan for promoting terrorism. Revealing the true face of its neighbor Pakistan at a virtual meeting of the United Nations (UN), India said, "Pakistan should introspect why it is called an international sub-center of terrorism and the safest haven for terrorists."

During the Virtual Counter Terrorism Week, Mahavir Sindhvi, President of the Indian Delegation, said, “It is unfortunate that Pakistan is sponsoring cross-border terrorism at a time when the whole world is coming together to fight the epidemic.

Pakistan wants to seize every opportunity to finalize terrorist activities. Pakistan makes very baseless and malicious allegations against India and interferes in India's internal affairs.

Why call a terrorist a martyr?

India made the statement on the issue of "The Challenge of Global Terrorism: Violent Extremism in the Corona Age, Assessing the Rising Risk of Hate Speech". At the same time, India called on the international community to urge Pakistan to curb its terrorist activities there.

India underlined Pakistan's role in the terrorist attack on the Indian Mission in Kabul, the 2008 Mumbai terror attack, the 2016 Pathankot attack, Uri and Pulwama. He also questioned the issue of Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan calling 9/11 mastermind Osama bin Laden a martyr.

"This statement by the Prime Minister of Pakistan proves how terrorists are viewed in Pakistan and proves that international terrorists are protected in Pakistan," Sindhvi said.

The Pakistani prime minister has publicly acknowledged the presence of about 40,000 militants in his country, and according to a current report by the UN Security Council's Analytical Support and Sanctions Monitoring Team, about 6,500 Pakistani militants linked to the army and Jaish are active in Afghanistan.

Latad on Kashmir issue

In the virtual meeting, India also surrounded Pakistan on the Kashmir issue. Sindhvi said that Pakistan was making false and fabricated statements about Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan provides all assistance, including economic aid, to encourage terrorists against India across the border. He considers terrorists as freedom fighters and gives false information about India's domestic laws and policies.

Surrounded by the issue of human rights violations

Apart from that, India also underlined human rights violations and discrimination against religious, cultural minorities in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. "People from the minority community in India are held in high esteem and are accorded full respect," the Indian official said. On the contrary, they are being persecuted in Pakistan. As a secular country, it is difficult for Pakistan to understand India's secularism.

Sindhvi said Pakistan should look within itself before pointing fingers at others and focus on correcting its own shortcomings. Poison OK against the democratically elected Government of India and its leaders will do nothing.
