Cruelty to monkeys, first beaten and then black, arrested six

A shocking video of Methi Saidullaganj village at Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh has come to light. Some people in the village grabbed a monkey, first beat it severely and then spray-painted it black. The video of this cruelty to monkeys is going viral on social media.

The video clearly shows the monkey tied with a rope and strangled. He was trying to escape but could not escape. People were constantly annoying him and laughing out loud. They were also painting the monkeys black. However, at that moment, the monkey somehow escaped by saving his life.

The video is believed to be from two or three weeks ago and was discovered during an investigation on July 13. Authorities moved in after the video went viral and arrested the accused. As per the rules, six villagers have also been fined Rs 60,000 in the case. The video is currently going viral on social media.

There is a lot of outrage among the people over the cruelty meted out to the monkeys. There is also a demand on social media to crack down on such anti-social elements. According to DFO Sanjeev Kumar, the administration will take stern action against any such activity and the culprits will never be released.

Earlier, a similar video went viral from Telangana in which some people killed a monkey. He was also forced to fight with other monkeys. He was then killed and hanged on a tree.
