Climate change in Delhi, floods in Assam-Bihar, rains in many states

With the reversal of the weather, the condition of the people has deteriorated due to rains and floods in many parts of the country. Rivers are overflowing due to rains and the banks are preparing to rise.

Rains have lashed many areas from Uttar Pradesh to Bihar, from Bengal to the Northeast, from Maharashtra to Madhya Pradesh and from Assam to Arunachal Pradesh. In Maharashtra's Akola, torrential rains have broken records, while in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri, rivers are raging. The city of Akola has recorded four millimeters of rain in the last few hours alone.

The hills are currently experiencing a double whammy as it is raining on one side and landslides on the other. The landslide on the Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway has spread fear among the people. In fact, National Highway-58 is the only way to go to Rishikesh in Chamoli and from Rishikesh to Badrinath and if it is closed, people's trouble will increase.

Bihar is also besieged by rains and floods. Kosi, Gandak and Bagmati have been flooded due to discharge of water by Nepal. However, the weather in the national capital, Delhi, is captivating due to strong winds and the meteorological department has forecast showers with thundershowers at some places with winds of 50 to 80 kmph.

According to the forecast Panipat, Karnal, Meerut, Hapud, Baghpat, Modinagar, Hastinapur, Shamli, Ghaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida, Muzaffarnagar, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Saharanpur, Chandausi, Chandpur, Najibabad, Bijnor around 60 hours and around It can rain with strong winds.

Weather of Delhi

The skies over the country's capital, Delhi, are as cloudy as yesterday and the weather is expected to remain the same. The maximum temperature in Delhi's Safdarjung area was recorded at 36.4 degrees Celsius on Saturday and mercury hovered between 35 and 39 degrees in other places. However, the temperature is likely to go down today due to strong winds.

Chance of rain in so many states

According to Skymet, moderate to heavy rains will fall in West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, eastern Uttar Pradesh and coastal Karnataka today. The low lying areas of Bihar, northeastern India, Jharkhand, northern Odisha, northern Chhattisgarh, northeastern Madhya Pradesh, northern Punjab and some parts of Haryana are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall.

Apart from that, light to moderate rainfall is expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and some parts of Delhi. Some places in Tamil Nadu and eastern Rajasthan are also likely to receive light rains while one or two places in Saurashtra and Kutch in Gujarat are likely to receive light rains.

Rain warning in Himachal

The meteorological department has forecast rains in Himachal Pradesh till July 17. According to Manmohan Singh, director, Shimla Meteorological Center, rains are expected in the plains and low-lying areas of the state till July 17. Several areas of the state, including Manali, received light rains on Saturday.

Flood situation in Assam

In Bihar, flood-like conditions have been created due to flooding of rivers and in Balrampur, the Rapti river and mountain streams have overflowed. Continuous torrential rains are falling on the hills of Nepal, which is having a clear effect on the low-lying areas. The water level of Rapti river is flowing 12 cm above the danger mark and it is continuously rising.

As a result, about 165 low-lying villages have been badly affected. Several dozen villages have been submerged in floodwaters. Assam has been inundated due to continuous rains for the last few days and the ring dam has been breached due to heavy rains.

Rainfall in Rajasthan

According to the meteorological department, the monsoon is expected to resume in Rajasthan around July 13. Due to this, light rain will fall for three-four days after the monsoon becomes active. Rain is forecast in Bharatpur, Dhaulpur, Karauli, Kota, Alwar, Sawai Madhopur, Bara, Bundi and Tonk on July 13. However, the people of Rajasthan have got some relief from the heat in July as compared to June.
