29 Sikh devotees killed, several injured in horrific train accident in Pakistan

Farukabad, 3 July 2020 Friday

A passenger train collided with a van full of devotees here in Pakistan's Punjab province on Friday, killing at least 29 people, most of them Sikh pilgrims, and injuring several others.

The administration and rescuers rushed to the spot and rushed the injured to the hospital. The accident took place at a barrier-free crossing. Prime Minister Imran Khan also expressed grief over the tragedy.

Sheikhpura District Police Officer Ghazi Salahuddin was informed of the incident. The accident took place in Farukhabad, Sheikhpura, Punjab.

Here the Shah Hussain Express passenger train going from Karachi to Lahore collided with the van, these Sikh devotees in Sheikhpura district were returning from Gurudwara Sacha Sauda.

The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital. Prime Minister Imran Khan has also ordered all medical facilities to be provided to the injured.
