Find out what the Sandesra scandal is

It is learned that the Sandesra scam is bigger than the PNB scam. Nitin Sandesara, Chetan Sandesara and Dipti Sandesara, the three promoters of Sterling Biotech Company Limited and Sandesra Group, first formed a bogus company and then slapped several banks with about Rs 14,500 crore.

Reason for interrogation at Ahmed Patel's house

He is being questioned at Ahmed Patel's house in connection with the Sandesra scam. In fact, Ahmed Patel said, "I am over 60 years old." By saying this he showed inability to go to the ED office for questioning so the ED had to reach his door.

Summons in hawala case

Earlier, the income tax department had summoned Ahmed Patel in connection with a Rs 400 crore hawala transaction. Ahmed Patel is accused of having more than Rs 400 crore of hawala in Congress accounts. Income tax officials are currently investigating the whole case.
