Petrol, diesel prices rise for 8th day in a row, find out what the new prices are

Petrol and diesel prices are also on the rise in the country due to the rise in international crude oil prices. The trend continued on Sunday, with petrol in the national capital at Rs 75.7 per liter and diesel at Rs 74 per liter.

In Delhi, diesel has gone up by Rs 4.66 per liter in eight days, while petrol has gone up by Rs 4.52 per liter. Oil marketing companies on Sunday hiked petrol prices by 62 paise, 59 paise and 60 paise, respectively, in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai. So, diesel prices in the four metros have been hiked by 64 paise, 57 paise, 61 paise and 54 paise respectively.

According to Indian Oil's website, petrol prices have touched Rs 75.78, Rs 77.64, Rs 82.80 and Rs 79.53 per liter in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai respectively. The price of diesel has also gone up to Rs 74.03, Rs 69.80 and Rs 72.18 per liter respectively.

Brent crude oil Brent's August futures contract on the Intercontinental Exchange fell to 15 15.98 a barrel on April 22 from 38 38.95 a barrel last Friday, bringing the price of Brent crude to 143.7 per cent after 22 April.
