Melee between Indo-Chinese troops, three jawans martyred, including an officer

The long-running dispute between India and China in Ladakh has now flared up. Tensions between the two countries' troops escalated after talks between the two countries near the Galvan Valley on Monday night escalated, with one Indian Army officer and two soldiers killed.


An official statement issued by the Indian Army said there was a violent clash between Indian and Chinese troops during the de-escalation process in the Galvan Valley on Monday night. Meanwhile, an Indian Army officer and two jawans have been martyred. Senior military officials from both countries are meeting to calm the situation.

The Ladakh border between India and China has been tense since early May. The Chinese troops crossed the LAC fixed by India and came near Pangong Lake, Galwan Valley. Five thousand troops from China were deployed here, in addition to gathering military equipment.

The armies of the two countries have long been trying to resolve the dispute. How many rounds of meeting was going on after 6th June. Conversations were going on between the officers from CO to Lieutenant General level. An agreement was then reached and the armies of the two countries retreated for a few km. But while the process was going on, there was military speed between the two countries.
