'Foreign policy must be reset': Subramaniam Swamy's tweet on Indo-Nepal border dispute

New delhi date. 14 June 2020, Sunday

In the wake of the border dispute between Nepal and India, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramaniam Swamy has called for a renewed strengthening of Indian foreign policy.

According to Subramaniam Swamy, India needs to re-establish its foreign policy. Swamy wrote in his tweet, 'How can Nepal even think for Indian territory? Has his feelings been hurt to such an extent that he wants to sever ties with India? Isn't this our failure? Foreign policy needs to be re-established. '

On Saturday, Subramaniam Swamy's remarks came at a time when the House of Representatives of Nepal had passed a bill on a revised political map in which Indian land was its own.

India has termed these violations and claims of Nepal as an artificial territory. It is worth mentioning that Lipulekh, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura areas in Uttarakhand, India are claimed in the map of Nepal.
