Srinagar, Sunday 21 June 2020
Three militants were killed today (Sunday) in an encounter with security forces in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir Police IG Vijay Kumar said that for the first time in history, the heads of four major terrorist organizations Lashkar, Jaish, Hezbollah and Ansar-ul-Gajwa-e-Hind have been killed in four months. Lack of leadership has taken a heavy toll on them.
An AK-47, an M-4 carbine and a pistol were recovered from a Jaish-e-Mohammed Pakistani militant in Kulgam, he said. It has been observed that Jaish terrorists keep M-4 rifles. An M-4 rifle was found yesterday after a Pakistani drone was shot down.
The IG said, ‘The militants were appealed for surrender but they did not believe he threw a grenade from inside, then an encounter between the CRPF and the militants started. In which all three have been killed, two have been identified and one remains. The bodies will be autopsied.
Earlier, a police official said that based on reports of the presence of militants in the Junimar area of the city, security forces cordoned off the area on Sunday morning and launched a search operation.

I congratulate the security forces as this is the first time in history that four leaders of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Hizbul Mujahideen and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind have been killed in four months.
