IIT Roorkee and AIIMS Rishikesh have worked to develop a much cheaper ventilator among the growing number of coronavirus patients in the country. A team of engineers and doctors have developed a fully indigenous ventilator oxygen.

The price is quite low

The director of AIIMS Rishikesh informed that the ventilator was technically developed about two and a half months ago. Complete indigenous ventilator oxygen has been successfully tested in AIIMS Rishikesh. The AIIMS director further said that the price of this ventilator will be only between 25-30 thousand rupees.

Completely indigenous is the new ventilator

Another official associated with the project said the fully indigenous ventilator has been manufactured under Oxygen Make in India. All parts and techniques of this ventilator are also indigenous. Developed under the joint auspices of IIT Roorkee and Aims Rishikesh, this ventilator oxygen has been tested at Aims Rishikesh ever since and this ventilator has been a complete success in all types of clinical trials.

The new ventilator has been developed at a time when the incidence of corona virus is on the rise in India. So far, 4.56 lakh people have been infected with the corona virus in the country. Of these, 14,478 have lost their lives. About 2.58 lakh people have recovered so far.

The government said in a statement on Tuesday that the Rs 2,000 crore would be spent on buying Made in India ventilators. Which will be used for coronavirus patients. In the declared battle against the corona virus, these 50,000 ventilators will be donated to the Union Territory and State Government Government Hospitals.
