Anger erupts against China, ban on Chinese national in 3000 hotels-guest houses in Delhi

The Delhi Hotel and Guest House Owners Association (DHURVA), an association of budget hotels in Delhi, has announced that no Chinese nationals can stay in their hotels in response to a boycott of Chinese goods by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAT).

There are about 3000 budget hotels and guest houses in Delhi. Which has about 75 thousand rooms. The president of Dhurwa said that all the hotel owners in Delhi were angry at the way the Chinese troops were moving so violently.

"While Chinese goods are being boycotted across the country, we have taken this decision in view of the sentiments of Delhi hotel and guest house owners," he said.

Kate's national general secretary Praveen Khandelwal also welcomed Dhurwa's decision. He said Dhurwa's decision made it clear that people from different walks of life were joining the boycott of Chinese goods. CAT will now be boycotted by contacting transport, farmers, hawkers, small scale industries, consumers, women's housing industries in this direction.
