50,000 ventilators to be built from PM Care Fund, Rs 2000 crore assistance announced

The government has allocated Rs 2,000 crore from the PM Care Fund, which was set up in response to the Corona virus epidemic. The government said in a statement on Tuesday that the Rs 2,000 crore would be spent on buying Made in India ventilators. Which will be used for coronavirus patients. Apart from PM Care, Rs 1,000 crore was also allocated for migrant workers.

In the declared battle against the corona virus, these 50,000 ventilators will be donated to the Union Territory and State Government Government Hospitals. Where coronavirus patients are being treated.

According to a statement issued by the PMO, the construction of 30,000 ventilators will be announced by Bharat Electronics. However 20,000 ventilators will be manufactured by other domestic companies, including Agua Healthcare AMTZ Basic.

Out of these 50,000, 2923 ventilators have been built so far, of which 1340 ventilators have been allotted to the states. For instance, 275 ventilators have been provided to Maharashtra, 275 to Delhi, 175 to Gujarat, 100 to Bihar, 90 to Karnataka and 75 to Rajasthan, with another 14,000 ventilators to be provided by the end of June.

Other parties, including the Congress party, have been protesting against PM Kers. The opposition has demanded that the entire details of PM Care's fund be made public. However it was demanded to give the fund to the poor.

An RTI has been filed regarding PM care. However his information has not been released. But then the central government itself announced that PM Care would be audited independently.
