Tensions are running high between the central government and the West Bengal government on a number of issues. Now the two governments are at loggerheads over migrant workers. No such action has been taken by the Bengal government while a number of state governments are running special labor trains for laborers.

Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday wrote a letter to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on the issue. In the letter, Shah said the state government was not cooperating to help deliver the workers home. The Bengal government does not allow migrants to reach the train in the state. It is an injustice to the laborers not to allow the train to reach West Bengal. This will cause more trouble for them.

Referring to the special labor train being run by the central government to facilitate the repatriation of migrant workers in the country, Shah said that more than two lakh workers have been repatriated to his state with the help of the Center.

In the letter, Shah said workers living in West Bengal were also eager to reach home and the central government was also providing labor train services. But we are not getting the expected support from West Bengal. The state government is not allowing the train to reach Bengal. This is an injustice to the trapped laborers in Bengal. Due to which the laborers will have to face more difficulties.
