Airlines have been launched in the country amid the Corona epidemic. However, wealthy people are now opting for charter flights.

For example, in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, a family of four rented a whole plane to go to Delhi. The Airbus A-320 has a seating capacity of 180 passengers. However, one man chartered the entire aircraft for his wife, two children and a housemaid.

Sources said that the cost of the journey would have been around Rs 10 lakh. The plane came from Delhi to Bhopal on Monday to pick up the family. The family was also sent back.

Wealthy families want to travel without crowds and at a time when the cost of jet fuel is very low, airlines are offering charter flights to the rich at a lower cost.

The cost of renting an Airbus 320 for one hour is four to five lakh rupees. While the cost of a charter flight between Delhi and Mumbai can be between Rs 16 lakh and Rs 18 lakh.

A day before the announcement of the ban on international flights to India, a family of three had booked a charter flight from Europe to India and paid Rs 80 lakh, sources said.
