A statement from Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has surfaced amid a flurry of tweets from micro-blogging site Twitter over some of US President Donald Trump's tweets. Mark Zuckerberg said his company (Facebook) does not mediate the truth.
In an interview, Mark Zuckerberg said, "I strongly believe that Facebook does not mediate the truth of what people say online. Private companies, especially companies with such platforms, should not be in a position to do so.
Earlier in 2017, US President Donald Trump accused Facebook of campaigning against him. Zuckerberg then gave Trump a scathing reply. "Facebook has always been anti-Trump," Trump wrote in a tweet. This network has always been anti-Trump, so fake news. The New York Times and the Washington Post have also been anti-Trump. Is there any collusion? ' Zuckerberg called Trump's allegations baseless.
Trump and the Twitter company are currently at loggerheads over some tweets. Twitter posted a fact check notice on one of Trump's tweets on Tuesday. Then on Friday, Twitter took action on one of Trump's tweets and gave it a red label, leaving people unable to retweet or like-comment on Trump's tweet.
