Tests play an important part in the fight against Corona. The spread of corona can only be detected and prevented if more tests can be done, tests can be done quickly and results can be obtained quickly. PCR testing is currently performed for Corona, which is time consuming, complex and expensive. As an alternative, the Indian Council of Scientific and Industrial Research has developed a new test method. The method-test kit has been named Feluda after Bengali filmmaker Satyajit Ray's spy character Feluda as it was prepared by two Bengali scientists.

This test will be done by a thin strip of paper. In the same way that a normal kit is used for a pregnancy test and the result can be determined by its changing color, the result in this test can be known immediately. The method was invented by Dr. Sauvik Maiti and Dr. Debjyoti Chakraborty, scientists working in the Council's Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (IGIB). MoUs have been signed with Tata Sons to enable mass production of this kit.

In the story of Satyajit Ray, there is a spy character named Feluda, named after this kit-test. However the name of this kit is abbreviated Feluda. The full name is 'FNCS ૯ Editor Linked Uniform Detection Essay'. The spy's job is to find the crime, while the test's job is to find Corona. According to the scientists, this test is 100% successful, so the government has also approved it.

If this test is selected, it will be considered as a great achievement of India in the world. It will also be used primarily in India. However, the test could start by the end of May. Tests are currently being conducted on an experimental basis and the results of all these tests are coming out as satisfactory as the PCR tests.
