Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh admitted to AIIMS, complains of headache


New delhi date. 11 May 2020, Monday

Former Prime Minister and Congress leader Manmohan Singh has been admitted to AIIMS Hospital in Delhi. He was admitted at 8:45 pm after complaining of a headache and is being monitored in the cardio-thoracic ward. It was learned that Manmohan Singh was having trouble breathing and was panicking so it was decided to admit him to the hospital.

Sources close to Singh said there was no cause for concern at present and his health was stable. Manmohan Singh, 87, a current member of the Rajasthan Rajya Sabha, has been placed under the supervision of Dr Nitish Naik, a professor of cardiology.

Various leaders worked to heal the lion

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted, "I am very concerned to know that former PM Dr Manmohan Singh has been admitted to AIIMS. I work for his speedy recovery and pray for his good health and long life." Apart from that, messages of good health were sent to former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and senior Congress leaders from the Congress Twitter handle.

13th Prime Minister of the country

Dr. Manmohan Singh has served as the country's 13th Prime Minister. He served as the country's prime minister for 10 consecutive years from May 2004 to May 2014. He has also been the Finance Minister in PV Narasimha Rao's government. He served as the 22nd Finance Minister of the country from June 1991 to May 1996 and has also been the 15th Governor of the Reserve Bank of India.
