Another success for India, it became the second largest producer of PPE kits

India is moving towards self-reliance at a time of Corona crisis. Personal safety clothing i.e. PPE kit is the main safety shield in the fight against Corona virus. The PPE kit protects the Corona Warriors from Corona infection and in just two months India has become the second largest producer of PPE kits in the world.

The government on Thursday said that India has become the second country in the world to produce personal safety clothing in less than two months. Only China is ahead of India in this area. China is the largest manufacturer of PPE.

The textile ministry said in a statement that it has taken some steps to improve both the quality and quantity of PPE. That is why India has become the second largest manufacturer of PPE in less than two months.

The ministry has also taken steps to ensure that only certified companies across the supply chain supply PPEs. Now the Textile Committee, Mumbai will also test and certify the PPE required for health workers and other Corona Warriors.
