The Air India flight to Moscow due to Corona virus arrived in Delhi on Saturday as the flight from Delhi to Moscow returned when the ground staff found out that one of the pilots on board the plane was infected with Corona. The DGCA said it had ordered an investigation into the defect after the plane returned.

A senior Air India official said Vande was on his way to Moscow to pick up the stranded Indians on an Air India A-320 Neo flight under the Bharat Mission. The plane landed in Uzbek airspace after authorities learned that one of the passengers on board was infected with a foot corona.

The DGCA said that at first glance, the case was known to be flawed because the pilot should not have been on the plane if he had been infected with Corona. According to the information received, there were 4 pilots in the plane. Two to take and two to bring back. Apart from this there were also crew members.

There were no passengers on board, officials said. The plane was told to return as soon as the information was received. The plane returned to Delhi at 12.30 pm on Saturday. The crew members aboard the plane have been quarantined. Another plane will be sent to bring back the trapped Indians.
