40,000 crore increase in MGNREGA budget, Finance Minister announces fifth and final phase of Rs 20 lakh crore

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is announcing the fifth and final phase of the Rs 20 lakh crore economic package. The finance minister said the prime minister had said the disaster needed to be turned into an opportunity. Accordingly, this economic package has been prepared. The emphasis in this package is on Land, Labor, Law, Liquidity.

Rs 30 crore in people's accounts

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said direct benefit transfers were cashed using technology under the PM Garib Kalyan Yojana. Under which 2 thousand rupees have been given to the accounts of 8.19 crore farmers.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that apart from this, Rs 500-500 was sent through direct benefit transfer to 20 crore public accounts in the country. Under Ujjawala scheme, 6.81 crore cooking gas holders were given free cylinders. 2.20 crore construction workers were given Rs. Directly into their accounts.

The finance minister said the central government was paying 85 per cent of the cost of transporting the workers to their home states. Workers are being fed in trains.

The health department has provided Rs 15,000 crore to fight the corona virus. Rs 550 crore has been provided for testing and lev kit. Health insurance of Rs 50 lakh has been announced for health workers living in the fight against corona.

People have been assisted by EPFO. Lentils and cereals were given free for 2 months. A train was arranged for the worker. People’s lives are the first priority for us so we have helped when the lockdown opens there will be a challenge for traders. People will need workers and money for their business. Some people may even think that we are bankrupt. We are working for every kind of help for them.

12 new channels for online education

The Finance Minister said that online education has been used in the field of education. Swayamprabha was the first 3 in the DTH channel. 12 new channels are being added. Work is also being done to enable live interactive channels. States are requested to provide 4 hours of content to be shown on the live channel.

MNREGA budget increased by Rs 40,000 crore

The central government has made a big announcement in the MGNREGA budget for employment schemes in rural areas. The finance minister said MNREGA's budget has been increased by Rs 40,000 crore. Earlier, MNREGA's budget was Rs 61,000 crore, now it has been increased by Rs 40,000 crore.

One channel for each class

The government is focusing on online learning so the government will launch a channel for classes from 1st standard to 12th i.e. there will be one channel for each class. A psychotherapy program will be started to keep the children psychologically healthy. Special e-content will be brought for the disabled.

The health center will now have hospitals for infectious diseases in all the districts, labs will be set up in each room.

Rock on bankruptcy proceedings for one year

Most of the rules of company law will be decriminalized. The process of declaring bankruptcy will be banned for one year. Delay in payment of debt will not be included in insolvency for one year. The time of bankruptcy of small businesses will be increased from one lakh to one crore.

The central government will introduce a new public sector policy

The government will announce a new public sector policy. In which it will be decided which public sector company will be in which strategic sector. The government will strive to have at least one public sector company in each strategic sector. The government will also give access to private companies in the strategic sector. PSU companies will be merged in other sectors.

Help the states

Nirmala Sitharaman said the National Disaster Response Force has given more than Rs 11,000 crore in relief to the states in April alone. The Reserve Bank has raised the borrowing limit for states to 60 per cent.

States have raised their borrowing limit to 14 per cent. The Ministry of Health has provided Rs 4,113 crore for anti-covid activity. Nirmala Sitharaman said that the GDP has increased from 3 per cent to 5 per cent.
