In this letter he mentions his first term and then the achievements of the first year of his second term. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written a letter to the countrymen and interacted with the people through it, let us know the 13 special points of the letter ...
Highlights of PM Modi's letter
1. A year before today, a new golden chapter was added in the history of Indian democracy. For the second time in a row, the people handed over the responsibility of absolute majority to a government for decades. You (the people) have played a big role in the creation of this chapter. Today is an opportunity for me to bow to you.
2. In the year 2014, the people voted for a big change in the country, to change the policy and practice of the country. In five years, the country has seen the system emerge from the mire of inertia and corruption.
3. In the year 2019, your blessings were for the huge dreams of the country, for the fulfillment of hopes and aspirations. The decisions taken in this one year are the flight of these huge dreams. With the mantra of 'All together, all development, all faith', the country today is moving in every direction, be it social or economic, global or internal.
4. Some special decisions have been much debated in the last one year so it is natural that those achievements remain in the memory. The abolition of section 370, construction of Ram temple, three divorces or even the Citizenship Research Act, all these achievements are in the memory of all.
5. Among these historic decisions taken one after another, there were many decisions and changes that have given a new impetus and a new goal to India's development journey. At the same time, it has met the expectations of the people.
6. For the first time in the history of the country, farmers, farm laborers, small shopkeepers and unorganized sector workers have been guaranteed a regular monthly pension of Rs 3,000 after the age of 60.
7. Better laws have been enacted in the interest of the common man, for which work has been done vigorously in the last one year which broke the previous record. This is why the Consumer Protection Act, amendments to the chit fund law, laws protecting women and children with disabilities, etc. have been enacted quickly.
8. We were moving very fast and the global epidemic of Corona also engulfed India. Many feared that if Corona struck India, it would be a crisis for the whole world. But today you have changed the way you look at India.
9. From clapping and lighting the lamp to honoring the Corona Warriors by the Indian Army, following the rules faithfully during a public curfew or nationwide lockdown, you have shown on every occasion that one India is the guarantee of the best India.
10. No one can claim to have no trouble or inconvenience in such a big crisis. Workers, migrant laborers, artisans working in small businesses, people selling goods on the street, etc. have suffered immensely. Efforts are underway to overcome their difficulties.
11. The zeal with which the people of West Bengal and Odisha reacted to the situation during the recent Hurricane Amphan in reducing the damage caused by the hurricane is a great inspiration to all of us.
12. At present, there is a large-scale discussion on how the economies of all countries, including India, will grow. But on the other hand, there is also the belief that India will set a new precedent in the economic field in the same way that it has united the world in its fight against the Corona. 130 crore Indians can not only amaze but also inspire the world in the economic field with their potential.
13. The demand of the time today is that we must stand on our own two feet. We have to walk our way and there is only one way for a self-reliant India. The current Rs 20 lakh crore package for the Self-Reliant India Campaign is a step in this direction. India will reduce its dependence on imports and move towards self-reliance.
