COVID-19: 5 out of 8 states of East India are completely free from Corona

Amid rising corona virus cases in the country, good news came on Monday. Five northeastern states were liberated from Corona.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh said five of the eight states in the northeast were completely free of the corona virus. The remaining three regions have not come up with any new cases of transition in the last several days.

Jitendra Singh is also the North Eastern Region Development Minister. He made the remarks after a video conference with senior officials of the Northeast Council, Shillong and representatives of various government agencies and public undertakings.

According to the Union Minister, Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura in the five northeastern states are completely free of corona virus.

In addition, three other states - Assam, Meghalaya and Mizoram - have reported eight, 11 and one cases of corona virus, respectively. Jitendra Singh further said that all the patients have recovered. No new cases have been reported since Sunday night.

He gave his all to ensure good coordination of the state governments, chief ministers and officials and councils of his ministries in the region which has made this possible.

The Union Minister also discussed proposals received from states like Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur in relation to new health projects for the care and management of transmission of Corona virus patients.
