Congress supports wage cuts for MPs

New Delhi, 6 April 2020 Monday

In view of the corona crisis in the country, the central government has taken a big decision on Monday.

Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that the government could reduce the salaries of MPs by 40 to 50 percent if desired, though it has questioned whether the MP fund was suspended for two years.

Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that the parliamentary fund was suspended for two years so that development works in the parliamentary areas would be damaged, he insisted that the government keep the MP fund running.

Surjewala said that "the Prime Minister supports the reduction of salaries of Congress MPs, not to cut 30 to 40 to 50 percent."

But the Parliament Fund is meant for the development work of the parliamentary areas of the Parliament. And the functioning of the MP will also be affected.
