Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan filed the petition on behalf of the BJP. When the Congress party later applied to the Supreme Court. It argued that our legislators were held hostage by the Central Government of Karnataka and that legal action should be taken against those responsible.

Also our legislators should be allowed to attend the current legislative session. It was also demanded that the order that Governor Lalji Tunde had received in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Tuesday should be canceled and declared as unconstitutional and illegal.

On the other hand, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh visited Governor Lalji Tandon.
