There are no plans to extend the lockdown, the government clarified

Amid speculation that the lockdown will be prolonged, the central government has clarified that a 21-day lockdown should not be extended. The government has clarified that no such plan is under consideration.

Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gaba said the government was shocked to see reports of a lockdown going forward because no such planning was under consideration.

The government has to clarify that, because of the increasing number of coronary patients in some media reports it is mentioned that the government is considering increasing the lockdown. However, after the government's clarification, doubts have been dispelled.

Currently 21 days nationwide lockdown has been announced in India. Which will run until April 14. The lockdown will begin one week tomorrow.
