Police shot dead driver of baking potato in lockdown

Even in the wake of the lockdown, there are some people who are working to deliver the necessities of life. There are cases of such people being harassed by the police.

Patna police in Bihar have shot dead a driver carrying potatoes. 3 constables of Patna police have been arrested. He is alleged to have shot the driver for not paying Rs 5,000 for bribe.

The driver of the pick up van Sonu Sah was on his way to collect potatoes while police stopped him. Police shot him in the leg after arguing with police.

The driver said that the police had asked me to take my tempo to the police station first. Then the constables had hinted that the matter would be settled if I gave Rs 5000 to the officer.

The tempo driver is currently being treated at Patna Medical College.
