Even if a divorce case is ongoing, women will still get a family pension

Central divorce minister Jitendra Singh has said that women will get family pension even if divorce is delayed. Minister of State for Personnel Ministry Jitendra Singh further said that under the Narendra Modi government, several schemes have been launched for the welfare of women.

The Ministry of Personnel said in a statement that the family pension will also be given to the daughters if the pension department changes its rules and the divorce case is going to court.

Speaking at a program organized by the Department of Personal and Training, Singh said that under the Modi government, women of the country are becoming empowered in every sector. Women are now building their careers in defense, space and the military as well.

Earlier, women preferred to work only in the educational and social welfare sectors. Addressing the program organized in connection with the International Women's Day celebrated on Sunday, Singh said that the presence of a large number of women officers in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions is a pleasure.
