COVID-19: First death in Kerala, death toll rises to 20 in India

One person has also been confirmed dead in Kerala amid the outbreak of the Corona virus in India. A 69-year-old man who was being treated for the corona virus at Ernakulam Medical College Hospital in Kerala died on Saturday. This is the first case in the state to die of this infectious disease.

The government hospital said in a statement that the resident of Ernakulam was admitted to a separate ward on March 22 after returning from Dubai.

With this death toll has risen to 20 in India.

It was reported that he was hospitalized due to symptoms of pneumonia but later became infected with the corona virus.

The statement said he also had heart disease and high blood pressure and underwent bypass surgery.

The old man took his last breath at eight in the morning. According to the statement, the body has been handed over to the family.

How many deaths in India so far?

A total of 873 people have been confirmed to be infected with coronavirus in India so far,

775 of which are still suffering from Covid-19. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare provided the information on Saturday.

The Coronavirus epidemic has killed 19 people in the country, however, the death toll in Kerala has dropped to 20. In addition, 78 people have been completely healed after treatment.

Cavid-19 cases have been reported from 27 states and union territories in the country. A total of 103 districts have been affected by the deadly virus.
