Section 144 has been imposed in Shaheen Bagh in Delhi amid protests against the CAA. Delhi Police issued a notice in Shaheenbagh saying that they should not come together in the area and do not show up.
The Delhi Police has put the notice on the barricades near the Shaheen Bagh dam site on Sunday morning. Police have been told that legal action will be taken against those who disobey this order. In Shaheen Bagh, women have been sitting on a dharna for two and a half months and are demanding removal of citizenship law.
The decision to enforce Article 144 has come at a time when there has been violence in the North West area of Delhi. However, the Hindu army later changed its decision but the police applied section 144.
Due to security, a large number of police personnel have been deployed here. Our goal is to maintain the legal system and prevent accidents in any way.
