New Delhi, Mar 26, 2020, Thursday

Acting Congress president Sonia Gandhi has written to PM Modi in support of the 21-day lockdown on the threat to Corona.

Sonia Gandhi made some suggestions in the letter, saying that all EMIs should be banned by the government for 6 months. In the meantime banks also waive interest.

Sonia Gandhi has also urged that the Modi government take steps to provide relief to the farmers and small businesses who are facing employment crisis by implementing justice (minimum income guarantee scheme) in the country. The Congress Party is with the government in times of crisis caused by the Corona virus. Coronary disease has put millions of lives at risk and has a profound impact on the lives of the economically weaker sections.

He said in the letter that N95 masks and other health facilities should be made available to health workers who are treating the disease.

It is pertinent to mention that the plan which Justice Sonia Gandhi mentioned in the letter was included in the Congress's manifesto before the Lok Sabha elections. Of which, about 50,000 poor families in the country were supposed to pay Rs 72,000 a year.
