(PTI) New Delhi, Ta. February 17, 2020, Monday

The Supreme Court has formed a committee to hold dialogue with the protesters of Shaheen Bagh. The apex court said that all people have the right to perform, but it should also be kept in mind that other matters do not take effect. On the other hand, the government has also shown willingness to communicate.

The Supreme Court has taken an important step on the issue of Shaheen Bagh protesters. The apex court has constituted an intermediary committee to interact with the protesters. Senior lawyers Sanjay Hegde and Sadhana Ramchandran have been assigned to interact with the protesters.

With regard to the exhibition, the Supreme Court issued an observation that all people have a right to exhibit, but there are other things to keep in mind. What if the road starts to get blocked in the name of performance? Anarchy spreads and the court's concern is about it. The court said that it was not appropriate to block the road in any such case.

However, the court also made it clear that the exhibit is all right and the other party should listen. That is why no order can be given on the immediate issue to remove the protesters. The court also directed the Delhi Police Commissioner to submit his oath. The next hearing on the matter will take place on February 24.

It is pertinent to mention that lawyer Amit Sahani and BJP leader Nandkishor Garg filed a petition in the Supreme about the problem of traffic congestion in Delhi due to the protesters. The court then ordered the road to be removed from the center. Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said in a media interview that the government was ready to discuss the citizenship law with the protesters.

The Union Minister said that the government will talk to resolve the fears of protesters about citizenship laws. Ravi Shankar Prasad said that we had earlier prepared for dialogue. The government does not want to be part of Shaheen Bagh's drama;
