Sanjay Kothari will be the new CVC and Bimal Zulka will be the new information secretary

The central government announced two new appointments. Two appointments were announced as Chief Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) and Chief Information Commissioner.

IAS officer Sanjay Kothari, who is currently serving as President Ram Nath Kovind's secretary, has been selected as the new CVC and Bimal Zulka has been selected as the new Senior Information Commissioner.

Both of these officers are IAS officers and are experienced as well as qualified for their work. Sanjay Kothari is the IAS officer of the 1978 batch Haryana cadre while Bimal Zulka is the IAS officer of the 1979 Madhya Pradesh cadre.

The appointments were made to the Prime Minister's residence on Tuesday in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, besides PMOs and Home Secretary secretaries.
