Our priority is to educate Kashmiri Pandits: Amit Shah

New Delhi: 19th February 2020 Wednesday

"It is our priority to rehabilitate the Pandit families who were displaced three decades ago in the Kashmir Valley," Home Minister Amit Shah said.

He said that adequate security arrangements would also be made in the Valley so that no danger could be inflicted on newly settled Pandit families.

During a visit to a seven-member Pandit delegation at Amit Shah's residence, Amit Shah also assured him of adequate government support.

It should be remembered here that in the late 1980s, Islamic terrorists in the Kashmir Valley had violently evicted the Pandit families in the area.

Nearly three lakh pandit families had worn clothes in their own country. Amit Shah reassured that the task of renewing them was in the top priority of the present government.
