India's unhappy whitewash against New Zealand: 1-0 loss to ODI series

Despite Rahul's 3 and Ayer's 3 runs, the bowlers' poor performance resulted in India losing five wickets in the third and final ODI against New Zealand. New Zealand whitewashed India 2-1 in the one-day series, taking revenge for the T-2 series. New Zealand had won a memorable five-wicket haul in 5.2 overs against the target of six to win.

New Zealand's victories contributed significantly to Nichols (1), Guptill (4) and Grandome (2 for 3 *) with half a century of fighting. Earlier Bennett was four wickets fast. Nichols Player of the Match was revealed. Ross Taylor was declared player of the match for scoring 3 runs in three ODIs with one hundred and one half centuries. He was a knockout in two innings.

The Indian team faced whitewash for the first time in the last three years in a bilateral series of three or one-day ODIs. India lost 3-1 in the last one-day series against Sri Lanka in the 5th.

Rahul's 2 and Iyer (2) batting

After losing the toss in the third and final one-dayer against New Zealand, the Indian team that was batting did not have a good start. Agarwal 3 and Kohli were dismissed for three. India returned to the pavilion on a 5-run score, trailing only 1/3. Rahul, however, hit four fours and two sixes in his fourth century of his career. New Zealand's top order needed to collect a pavilion cheaply as the Indian bowlers had to save a score of 1. However, Guptill and Nicholls shared a 5-run partnership with a solid start. Guptill was the victim of Chahal, scoring 2 runs off 6 balls with 3 fours and two sixes. Nicholls continued his batting with an aggressive temperament from one end, hitting four fours and four fours. He and Williamson (2) added 5 runs.

Grandhom's 5 * 4 *: He and Latham add 3 * off 5 balls.

New Zealand's middle order was harassed by spinners. Chahal had Williamson and Neesham out. Meanwhile, Jadeja had Taylor's wicket fast. Nicholson was knocked out by Thakur. Grantham, tied with Latham, gave the team a win by hitting fours and sixes. Granthum added 3 fours and four sixes in 8 balls with an unbeaten 5 runs. He shared with Latham only 3 * 4 * and gave the team victory. The only wicket from India was 5 wickets fast. Thakur gave 7 runs in 5.2 overs and Saini gave up 3 runs in 5 overs.
