China forced millions of people into detention camps just because they were Muslim

Beijing, Ta. February 18, 2020, Tuesday

According to a report obtained by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, China had imprisoned millions of Muslims in the Uyghur province because they were followers of Islam. China's most revered Imam Emer and his three sons were imprisoned in detention camps in Jinjiang province, capturing nearly 650 000 Muslims, and without detention.

The family information was also taken after the capture and imprisonment of millions of Muslims without any crime.

The database revealed that millions of Muslims were imprisoned for not only being detained for political reasons, but also because they were followers of Islam and allegedly promoted finalism.

In addition, those who were going to the mosque to attend prayers or to study in religious schools were also arrested and pushed into detention camps by the provincial government. Colorado University researcher Darren Byler, who is researching in Xinjiang, said the Chinese government is separating families. The mosque is detained without any confession to the imams.

Are Muslims persecuted in Xinjiang? China's Foreign Department spokesman Gang Qiang did not respond to such a question. However, the Chinese government has said in the past that detention camps are training centers where no one is discriminated against on the basis of religion.

It is worth mentioning that China tried for years to dominate the province of Xinjiang, but the international agencies said in their report that atrocities were not initiated. The database contains information about 311 people detained in prison, whose relatives live in Caracas .The information of 2,000 people was stored in it.

Abdullah Muhammad, a former student of Imam Emer, said he was the most honored Imam of China. He never used to be a finalist or agitator. He used to feed the hungry, treat his patients, and even arrange for the poor.

His point was that he did not propagate communist thinking. The communist leader and the government wanted him to use his class to propagate communist ideology in his own position. In 1979 he was removed from the post of Imam by the Chinese government. The same year Emer was captured in 2017.
