Prior to the Budget session, President Ram Nath Kovind addressed the two Houses of Parliament jointly. In it he referred to issues ranging from citizenship laws to Article 370 and the financial system. Opposition also took a swing after the statement that the government had fulfilled Gandhi's wishes by changing the citizenship law.

Addressing both houses of parliament, President Ram Nath Kovind said: President Gandhi wished that Hindus and Sikhs who did not want to live in Pakistan could come back to India. It is the responsibility of the government to facilitate them. By changing the citizenship law, my government has fulfilled Gandhi's wishes.

My government wants to make it clear that the same process that was before for all the religions of the world who believe in India and want to take Indian citizenship will continue to be the same. There will be no discrimination, no change. However, violence in the name of opposition is not a good thing in a democracy.

The opposition was uprooted after the president's statement. The president had to halt the speech twice after the opposition protested. Referring to the atrocities committed against minorities in Pakistan, President Ram Nath Kovind said that the world knows the violence that took place in Nankana Sahib in Pakistan. I criticize such violence.

The President also referred to Article 370 in a speech. He said that after the removal of Article-370 from Jammu and Kashmir, there would be development. On the issue of economy, he said, "My government is working in the direction that India's economy will reach $ 5 trillion in the coming years."
